7 Reasons Why 'Murder in the Middle East' Is One of the Absolute Best 'Bones' Episodes of Season 10

No single person can predict what another viewer's favorite episode of their favorite primetime drama will be, but I can tell you this about Bones' "Murder in the Middle East:" If you enjoy Bones for the drama, the masterful embodiment of the spirit of family, the serious interpersonal issues courageously faced, and the gripping action sequences and suspense ... this episode is going to knock your socks off. I kid you not.

Boneheads, my heart is still pounding from the final scenes of Bones' 19th episode of the season. You already know some of the details if you've read anything or watched the promos for "Murder in the Middle East," so I won't go into that. If you missed all the social media, suffice it to say this movie-quality hour confronts the dueling plot lines of Arastoo's visit to Tehran to be with his dying brother, and with the controversial issue of Booth's gambling addiction. I've promised you 7 reasons why "Murder in the Middle East" is one of the absolute best Bones of Season 10 and I will not disappoint. Let's get down to the "bones" of the matter.

#7 Wiener Dogs are Mentioned Several Times

I found this funny. It was the only funny thing about the entire episode, however.

#6 Printing is Taken to a Whole New Level

Let's just say that I doubt anyone has ever seen this done before. We have one of these printers and I can't imagine undertaking the tasks necessary to help solve this case.

#5 Booth Does Some Radical Ass-Kicking

Need I seriously say anything more about this? Boom.

#4 Booth's Thug is S-L-I-M-Y With a Capital 'S'

When Brennan comes face to face with Booth's troubles it's in the presence of a super creepy guy, and not for the usual reasons.

#3 Cam Nearly Gets Arrested

Cam flies to Tehran to find and rescue Arastoo who has been detained for some unattractive reasons. While there, the laws of the country are as present as if they were a character themselves. The people in charge attempt to throw Cam into jail for the way she treats Arastoo throughout the episode. Remember that Tehran is a sexist place and not very safe for independent women.

#2 Cam Delivers a Beautiful Speech

Risking the imprisonment mentioned elsewhere in this article, Cam takes her life in her hands when she makes a belligerent though liberating (and loving) speech to a member of the parliament. Wait till you see what happens when she does.

#1 Booth's Characterization of a Confronted Addict is Nothing Short of Stupendous

I hope I'm not overselling this, but Booth's scenes with Brennan were done so amazingly well that you will finally see what it looks like when an addict falls apart. David Boreanaz just ... well ... dang. Emily Deschanel's Brennan is also magnificent as she faces a truth she never thought she would have to with her husband.

Awww yes Warren is back
(although I do feel i bit off with Warren/Aubrey - I know i'll probs love it (#shippertrash), it's just that they tried to do Warren/Sweets and then backtracked on that with the death of Sweets and Daisy's pregnancy so I hope they do it in a nice way and don't forget about Warren boning Sweets at one point)
I am looking forward to the next episode on a grand scale 10x19 was brilliant, and i feel like the next few episodes are gonna be on a whole new scale of fantastic tbh
