wiat hold on was this meant to be the promo for 10x21 AND 22?? or just for next week? I'm pretty sure it's an extended promo for both EPs bc I feel like it would be awkward to have hodgela leave before the season finale? So technically it's me just guessing yeah, hodgela is definitely in the finale. So either this is a promo for both of them or the ep is just like hodgela preparing and telling everyone that they're leaving soon, and then they actually leave in the finale?

New spoilers for 10x21!
_____
Bones fans have had only one thought since Brennan kicked Booth out of the house after his gambling relapse: When will Booth be welcomed back home? On Thursday's episode (8/7c, Fox), things are looking up as Booth (David Boreanaz) nears his 30-days-sober milestone. But just as the ice begins to thaw, Brennan (Emily Deschanel) learns that Booth didn't invite her to celebrate the occasion with him. Will this latest blow derail the couple's progress?
To add insult to injury, Brennan won't have her best friend to lean on. That's because Angela (Michaela Conlin) drops a bombshell of her own on Brennan. "Ten years ago, Angela just started this job in a temporary capacity and has periodically reevaluated her life," executive producer Stephen Nathan says. "She's committed to the Jeffersonian, but mainly because of Brennan and Hodgins. Now, she really wants to look at... where she and Hodgins are going next, and this is a real game-changer for everybody."
One upside to the episode? Angela's real name will (finally!) be revealed!

Bones fans, your cries of distress over Brennan and Booth’s recent marital struggles have been heard. But executive producer Stephen Nathan describes the current challenges posed to the couple as a necessary plot device. “We certainly don’t want [the show] to be predictable all the time,” Nathan tells TVLine. “[The fans would] get bored, and they’d just go watch another show.” To thwart that scenario, “it’s incumbent upon us to shake it up,” he continues. “We started to do that at the end of Season 10, and it’ll continue into Season 11.” Below, the EP reveals what it’ll take to make things good between Booth and Brennan and whether or not Angela and Hodgins are packing their bags for France. TVLINE | How is Booth’s progress coming along with regard to his gambling addiction and the meetings? It’s unfolding in a very realistic and upsetting way for these two characters. Brennan is a very practical, rational person and understands the risks. Maybe in the past, this would have been a very cold decision for her. The logic she uses on a daily basis certainly comes into play, but there is real pain and difficulty involved in this for her. It’s torturous, because she truly loves Booth. So we had to find a way to deal with that and deal with a very, very proud man in Booth coming to terms with admitting to himself how enormous an act this was and how far-reaching the consequences. What we tried to do in the last few episodes is really contend with the emotional difficulty of that, and then see if there’s some kind of resolution going into the finale. TVLINE | You mentioned how upsetting it’s been for the characters. The story has also been upsetting for some of the fans who really love Booth and Brennan. What would you say to them? I’d say I would be very disappointed if people were not upset. These are two characters that you’ve come to love. You have expectations of people that are in your life. You don’t expect them to do this, and so you get upset. But you know what? People usually surprise us, and they do things often that we think they’re better than… And that goes for Brennan, too. Her reaction was very severe. But that’s what happens. TVLINE | What does Brennan need from Booth to make things OK between the two of them? It appears as if she needs some concrete evidence that he won’t do this again or that he is the man she thought he was. Since there are no guarantees, all she can hope for is to see the man that she thought he was… That’s the only thing that ultimately turns us in situations like this. Because every promise in the world is meaningless. You just have to decide, “OK, are we going to do this together?” TVLINE | So far, Angela and Hodgins’ plans about Paris have been all talk. What has been historically all talk between them about this Paris trip becomes much more concrete. It’s a very real choice now. Money has been exchanged. [Laughs] They’re going. That’s what they’re doing. Again, it’s our expectations [with] our characters that get us into trouble, because they don’t always behave as we expect them to. tvline.com/2015/06/03/bones-season-10-finale-spoilers-booth-brennan-marriage/

Ask Ausiello: June 4
Question: Do you have any scoop on Bones? It’s been such a dark season for the show, so there has to be some light at the end of the tunnel that would potentially set up a somewhat happier 11th season, right…? —Cassidy Ausiello: Yes, things have gotten quite cloudy over the Jeffersonian — and this week’s episode throws a few more curveballs at beleaguered Booth and Bones, especially when one decides not to invite the other to an important event. The looming question becomes: Can Temp set aside her reliance on facts and instead let her heart lead? As for a “somewhat happier” Season 11, you’re much more likely to find yourself asking after the finale, “How can there be any Season 11?”

BONES: Michaela Conlin Teases Angela’s Decision in ‘The Life in the Light’
As BONES heads towards the end of its tenth season, two key team members may be saying goodbye to the Jeffersonian. For years, Angela has struggled with where she should be, career-wise, and in tonight’s penultimate hour, “The Life in the Light,” Hodgins presents his wife with a life-changing offer. “We’ve been building up to this a little bit,” BONES star Michaela Conlin (Angela) acknowledged. “We’ve seen she’s conflicted about the kind of work they’re been doing for so many years. I think this time it’s less about her — I think a couple of seasons ago, it was about her journey, and what she wanted, and how she didn’t feel like she was being fulfilled as an artist. Now I think it’s about how she wants to raise her child, and the environment [the family] is in; I think it’s more of a family decision.” But even if Angela takes Hodgins up on his offer, in the more immediate future, she’s worried about her best friend. (Angela and Brennan actually share arguably their best friendship scene of the series in tonight’s hour.) “I think Angela is conflicted about [what’s going on with Booth and Brennan],” Conlin said. “I think she hopes everything is going to be okay. But like any friend, if a friend of yours comes to you with this about their husband, or you’re aware what’s going on — or you think you could have an idea of what’s going on — I think Angela’s a very protective friend. She always has been. That’s the dynamic that was set up for them very early on in the show, and that’s definitely playing out here. Particularly because [Brennan’s] pregnant and they have a toddler at home. I think Angela worries about Brennan in that way. I think she hopes things will be okay, but she’s a bit more worried than she’s letting on.”
