I'm laying in bed with both of my dogs because they won't stop fucking crying because they're not getting enough attention. on the other hand I'm trying my hardest to get to sleep early because I have to go on a trip tomorrow for another concert but I'm way too excited to sleep tbh

idk why i didnt do it sooner I've literally had 5 weeks off school in the middle of the semester cause the teachers are on strike
looks like theres going to be a 6th week fml

Like I feel so bad for the students honestly : / HONESTLY the entire school district (so like 100 000 kids) have been off school for 5 weeks now and no one knows if we're going back or not. All extra curriculars and trips were cancelled and the grade 12s are lucky they even got a prom. We may not even go back but if we do its going to be learning half a semesters worth of school in under 3 weeks. Also, theyre striking for money, what else lol? It doesnt even feel like time off cause they made sure to give us a bunch of work to do over the 'break' fml |

I stayed up past 2am last night playing the Nancy Drew game that finally arrived yesterday (I preordered it the day preorders opened why was I one of the last to receive their game?), and I'm kinda feeling the effects of that but it was worth it. Unfortunately, I didn't make it through without a walkthrough but I correctly guessed the culprit so I'm kinda proud of myself.  |

I LOVE NANCY DREW omg none of my computers can use the old graphics on the games though (or at least the ones released before like 2005) but Nancy Drew The Haunted Carousel is my jam

Haunted Carousel is one I discovered more recently, but I loved it. I love amusement parks, so it was like, perfect for me.
For games 2005 and older (ignoring the first 2), there's a way of installing them that tends to help me (to the point I just do it whenever I buy a game from that era), where you make a folder of the game's name in your Documents folder, and when installing, instead of installing in the default folder, you select the folder you made in Documents. I don't know why it helps, but it does? (At least in Windows 8; I don't know what computer you have.) I don't know if this will help you at all, but I thought I'd mention it.
Have you played any of the newer games? I really love Ghost of Thornton Hall and The Silent Spy.

I haven't </3. I can't afford to play video games anymore tbh. Like if I ever buy a new game it's used always because I just like cannot deal with $60+ for a video game
